An early morning flight over Vancouver Island, BC.

It was going to be a gorgeous, hot and sunny day, but that was the future. Back then it was 6:30 and I was shivering in my shirt, weary and red-eyed after a night on a bench at Vancouver Airport. Then, coffee, in hand, I boarded the 15-minutes flight to Victoria, BC, and what ensued was the best flight of the 40-something I had so far this year.

Here are some pictures, without commentary. Because when it’s early in the morning and you have such a spectacle before your eyes talking is the last thing you want to do.
