Not on the Circle Line: glimpses from London’s outer boroughs.

Like many other Londoners, I spend most of time outside the centre, the area – roughly delimited by the Circle Line’s tracks – where the overwhelming majority of the tourist attractions are and where visitors flock. Outside, oblivious to them, lie beautiful streets, peaceful parks as well as dilapidated tenements and depressing council estates. In a nutshell, a city. In this series of posts, which I’m starting today and will continue at random intervals, I’ll be posting one or two photos to tell the tourist what he’s missing when he’s in town.

  1. Yes! Looking forward to your other recommendations. Might be heading there September-ish.
