Interesting perspective. I normally look up, though when I come “back” to Paris, what fascinates me are the fields in the countryside approaching Roissy. (Two p’s as in “Approcher”?) 😉

Oh, the delight of reminding English speakers that much of their language descends from French! Always love doing it when my British colleagues get a bit too much “Rule Britannia-y”.

Haha! I used to work for a Brit company, with many a meeting/after meeting pub in London. I once told my boss, that were it not for French, English would barely have any vocabulary at all. 🙂
He was not “amusé”.
