I’m not one for bragging, but after years living in a basement, or a ground floor flat, it’s nice to be afforded some views, especially when it’s Friday evening, work is 48 hours away, you have a personal treasure of two beers, a chair on the balcony and a sunset that looks like this:
And it’s hard to moan even when it’s Saturday and, obviously, the weather looks like this:
Two beers for the next 48 hours? Get to the store, man! Haha, seriously, your views look amazing; I always love a view of activity, even if (or especially when) I am not currently a part of it. Do you ever get used to that fog/cloudiness?
Hi Lexi. To be fair, London’s air is usually quite clear, especially when it’s windy. I’ve been in places where the air was notoriously more polluted, such as Northern Italy in the winter.
Hehehe! That’s up until the fella upstairs reminds me that, unlike him, I’m renting (and that his flat is twice as big as mine and I don’t have a Beemer in my parking slot. Wait, I don’t even have a parking slot!)
I used to live on the 8th floor in Turin, with a great view of the Alps and the Monviso from the other side. It was brilliant! Now I’m 2 floors down, but still… It might be me, but living in a block of flats is better than in a large one-floor house, don’t know why.

The view is great but sometimes I find that it’s really hot inside block of flats 🙂
