  1. Good to see (some of) my views from your eyes on my screen. Beware to not land in San Marino. Scream through the window (“Olimpija” in the Maribor area or “Maribor” around Ljubljana, if you dare). Stop in Trojane for some wicked blueberry doughnuts. You must leave the highway but just for a few meters. The building of the highway took many customers away from them. We used to zoom by and stop there regularly. Happy return! And merry Christmas from blue-sky Rome.

I’ve been cursing myself and my idea today. First a queue bang in the middle of nowhere in Slovenia for 30 minutes, then the entire journey from Padua to Milan was done in fog and with dense traffic… then I hit Milan’s rush hour. Ewwww.
